A pan-India effort to evaluate and enhance forest soil health through standardized, data-driven practices.
The Forest Soil Health Card Development Project, initiated by the Forest Research Institute (FRI) under ICFRE, is a nationwide research program designed to assess, monitor, and improve forest soil health across all forest divisions in India.
It generates Digital Soil Health Cards based on standardized methods of soil sampling, classification, and testing offering region-specific recommendations to support the long-term sustainability and productivity of forest ecosystems.
